As per section 4.1 of the Fees in Respect of Drugs and Medical Devices Order, every fee outlined by the Order is to be increased annually by the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The notice of updated fees as of April 1, 2024, is published in the Canada Gazette, Part I.

The fees increase will impact current and future DRUG products, including Hard Surface Disinfectants.  Companies who plan to register drugs at Health Canada’s Natural and Non-Prescription Health Products Directorate in 2024-25 will be subject to higher application pathway increases and annual Right to Sell Fee increases.

The fees increase came into effect on April 1, 2024.
