June is National Safety Month

National Safety Month focuses on reducing the leading causes of injury and death within the workplace, on our roads, and in our homes. Part of a proper Health and Safety Regime is having updated Safety Data Sheets which contain all the required information to help keep our employees safe. From the proper classification for the Globally Harmonized System to the proper protective equipment to wear, the SDS contains the information your workers require to keep them out of harms’ way.
The SDS also provides information for the proper shipping of your chemical. Your shipping department will require this information to ensure that not only the product is shipped with the proper UN number and Packing Group, but also that the product itself is placed within the proper box with the appropriate safety marks.
The SDS is a great source of information to be reviewed before your workers use the product. It can help them stay safe, be aware, and prevent potential workplace hazards.
