Bill S-5 Has Officially Received Royal Assent

After many months of review and feedback, Bill S-5 has finally received Royal Assent will and soon become law. The bill intends to amend Canada’s Tobacco Act, the Non-Smokers’ Health Act, and other various Acts to federally regulate the manufacture, labeling, and promotion of vaping products, and to prohibit the sale of said products to minors under the age of 18. Further restrictions include bans on lifestyle advertising, endorsements, specific additives and flavors, and health claims. The bill also supports the implementation of plain, standardized packaging.

Vaping products containing nicotine will be sold legally as consumer products and must adhere to strict labeling regulations. Contact Dell Tech today for your regulatory compliance needs.
