2022 HMIRA Fee Adjustment

The Workplace Hazardous Materials Bureau annually adjusts the fees associated with a claim filed under the Hazardous Materials Information Review Act. This year, the annual adjusted fee is 3.4%, effective April 1st, 2022. See below for a summary of the results:
What is a HMIRA claim for exemption?
It is an exemption from having to disclose confidential business information (CBI), such as the chemical identity of trade secret hazardous ingredients.
Where can a HMIRA exemption be used?
On a Canadian SDS for a specific chemical or set of chemicals for which one is claiming Trade secret for CAS or Chemical Identity.
